I have so much to be thankful for… …it is hard to know where to even begin. First and foremost I had a great life with Kathy. It was “a good run” as they say. She got to spend the rest of her days on her terms, in her house and left with a smile on her face. And I… Read more →

Open mics: My music therapy
I’m doing pretty well, thanks. People ask how I’m doing and I’m glad they do. There were too many times I held back telling people I was sorry for their own loss. I wet her tongue with some of her favorite Chardonnay and put on a DVD of Gone With the Wind, her favorite movie. She stopped responding. I know she did her best and I did my best. Her hospice nurse was very sad and… Read more →
A few words on grieving
Updates: I wanted to thank everyone for the expressions of support after my brother Paul passed away. That post took a lot out of me. (Well, that and taking care of Kathy and working.) But I really appreciate all the kind words in emails and on Facebook. Talking to a grieving person can be tough. When the little girl who lived… Read more →
