On the loss of a pet

I realize I have totally neglected this blog for months. I may be getting too scattered for my own good. I still use Facebook quite a bit in spite of all the problems with it. And post some things on Instagram. And hopefully, you are already receiving my Mail-chimp newsletters. Please like my Facebook music page. Or you are welcome to actually… Read more →

November: To Colorado

I am now listing upcoming concerts on a separate page called Concerts.  Colorado On Halloween morning, I flew out to Denver, Colorado for the Huntington’s Study Group Conference in Denver. I cut myself some slack about what I had accomplished. Or not. Or the inevitable, “And how are YOU doing, Peter?” inquiries. Before the first anniversary, I was still going through things. Planning… Read more →

Good grief.

Caregiving. This is a non-music posting for a change. While my music, open mics, and my design work keep me going, I also try to go to my monthly caregiver support groups. There is a dementia group at my library and a Huntington’s group at UConn. My caregiving days are over, for now. But I like to think I can lend support.… Read more →

The HD Garbage Walk

On Sunday I went to my first HD Garbage Walk. The official title is the Arlo Guthrie’s Historic Garbage Trail Walk to Massacree HD. It travels 6.3 miles in Stockbridge and Great Barrington, Massachusetts made famous by his song & movie, Alice’s Restaurant. I almost went last year. Kathy’s passing seemed too fresh I guess. I had gone to the open… Read more →
