Spring has sprung. We had an inch or two of snow last night but by the time Marty and I got over to the dog meeting place in Wilbraham, it was all melted. Marty seems to be cooperating with me more about getting into the car. He realizes that he can sniff some dog butt where we are going. The other reality is that I have been having a problem with my left heel so the thought of walking down to the town park and all the way back is not on my menu. There is one family of bassets that comes from time to time. The other day they had a basset puppy. Marty could care less about what breed, nationality or political affiliation they are. Before my foot started acting up we went to a nature trail that runs behind the Hampden Senior Center through the woods to our middle school. Kathy enjoyed walking here when she could still get out.
I have been missing Kathy lately for many reasons but it is all normal stuff. The other day I was listening to some files on my phone and came across a sound recording of her coughing. I guess I wanted to play it for her nurse. I have some videos of her walking and other activities. They remind me that it was time for her to go. Well, time to feed the basset.
