HOSPITAL / June 2nd: I’m writing this from notes and memories. On Monday, they put the feeding tube in. I was actually driving to the hospital when the doctor called. He was trying to say he wanted her in for a follow-up visit in a week or two to take out some stitches. Thinking about the trauma of ambulances to and from the appointment I asked for an alternative and he said the VNA should be able to do it. By the time I got there she was back in her room. Trisha and Mary went back home to meet the loaner wheelchair that was finally arriving. That day when we went down to the cafeteria to eat, I showed them the exhibition panels Kathy and I worked on years ago for the Baystate Nursing School to honor the last class. It was really a fun project with lots of interesting photos that needed to somehow go together.
