LIFE: On Tuesday, after the dentist, and on Wednesday I tried to get back to work and caught up with a bunch of “stuff”. In between moving Kathy from couch; to toilet; to couch; to kitchen… I had to finish an ad for Holyoke Medical Center that was to run in the Sunday Springfield paper. I was starting a few new projects for Butler Hospital, as well, including a newsletter and an invitation for a fundraising event.
February is always heart health month because of Valentines Day. The original heart doodle in this ad was drawn by Kathy many years ago when she was working with me. I also spent some time on billing and trying to figure out how to pay some bills with imaginary money. I did hear that I will be paid, so that is encouraging. Luckily, Kathy’s disability/Social Security came and that took care of the immediate crunch. Kathy wanted me to get Marty groomed once she got paid so I made an appointment at the doggie spa for him.
In between projects and helping Kathy, I tried to call one of our agencies to find out whether any of their health aides were ever going to come! Wednesday evening after Kathy was asleep I spent time fixing one of our vacuum cleaners. It is a fairly heavy Hoover machine that had a worn out switch on it. I would use it once in a while in the basement but I refused to throw it out just because it needed a switch. I found a new part online and put it together so Dilcia would be able to use it on Thursday. While I had it apart I realized how I had never cleaned some of the other filters in that thing. I like fixing stuff.
